“The Tlingit are strong, proud, intelligent people. Our ancestors worked hard to establish organizations that promote equality and self-sufficiency for future generations. I am grateful that they envisioned their grandchildren having safe housing, earning a quality education, securing employment, establishing financial freedom and living a high quality of life through self-initiative that is inherent to the Tlingit - - - our elders; smart, farsighted, hardworking, dedicated people.” – Joanne Wiita-Gamble
